Referring to Blog and Forum on the Home page?

Hi Phil,

I was wondering whether it would be sensible / make sense to add a short description and link to the Blog and Forum on our Home page.
Something like this:

Thank you for visiting the web site of Ennis Evangelical Church (EEC), etc. etc.

This site is designed to ... etc.

The News & Events page will ...

The Important News page flags ...

If you're a broadband browser, you can ....

If you are seeking God, we have .....

A diary of past events, selected newsletter articles and other contributions can be found on our blog.

To ask questions, chat about issues, leave feedback, in fact have your say about most things to do with our faith, our church or our community, go to our Forum.

I have been thinking similarly, just hadn't decided where best to put it!
